The project was officially launched with the aim of creating a favourable environment for increased foreign and domestic direct investment, entrepreneurship and industrial development, and positioning and safeguarding the interests of Gabonese businesses in the global economy by providing financial support and guidance that are vital to all citizens. The programme also aims to provide direct financing to local entrepreneurs and women to ensure economic growth.
The Ministry is responsible for developing and managing the country’s economic regulatory management, in cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, the African Development Bank and the Global Entrepreneurship Network – GEN, and on this basis conducts the country’s internal and external economic relations. This is an initiative that aims to lead and coordinate an integrated approach to promote and develop entrepreneurship, SMEs, youth/women groups and cooperatives during the global economic crisis and ensure the creation of an enabling legislative and policy environment to support their growth and sustainability. It also supports the economic recovery of farmers and entrepreneurs by providing assistance to businesses.
