Kuwait City, August 16: Farwaniya security personnel under the guidance of Deputy Minister Hamad Al-Munaifi and Director of Security Brigadier General Saleh Aqla successfully arrested a foreign national with $21,000 in counterfeit currency.
According to security sources, the arrest took place in Farwaniya area when the expatriate was about to exchange fake US dollars. Further investigation led the authorities to his residence in Jleeb area where more counterfeit money as well as tools and materials used for forgery were found. The suspect has now been handed over to the counterfeit investigation department.
