England advances to the 2024 European Championship final. Kane’s substitute Watkins scores in the 90th minute

In the second match of the 2024 European Cup semi-finals, the Netherlands and England were tied 1-1 after 45 minutes. Simmons opened the scoring for the Netherlands with an unstoppable shot in the 7th minute. In the 18th minute, Kane equalized the score through Dumfries and Foden’s penalty kick.

The atmosphere was less lively in the second half, as England advanced through Watkins’ goal in the first minute of extra time.

The Netherlands overcame the goal-losing period, and after only seven minutes, Simmons hit the crossbar with an unstoppable shot. England responded by dominating the opponent’s half. In the 14th minute, Saka shot but the ball was blocked, and Kane shot over the goal from 10 meters.

After VAR check and subsequent analysis by the referee, a penalty was awarded because Kane committed a foul during the shooting phase and Kane took the penalty.

Phil Foden popped up and beat Verbruggen with a shot that was blocked off the goal line by Dumfries.

After the Netherlands team took a corner kick from the right side, Dumfries headed the ball and the ball hit the crossbar.

England have reached their second consecutive European Championship final following their participation in Euro 2020.
