The Petrol and Diesel Price Monitoring Committee approved fuel prices for September 2024, setting diesel prices at AED 2.78 per litre and Super ‘98’ petrol at AED 2.90 per litre, while setting special ‘95’ petrol prices at AED 2.78 per litre and E-Plus 91 petrol prices at AED 2.71 per litre.
It is noteworthy that pricing policy is reviewed monthly by a Price Monitoring Committee headed by the Deputy Minister of Energy and Infrastructure.
The fuel price standard approved by the ministry is determined monthly based on the average global oil price (whether it is rising or falling) plus the operating costs of distribution companies.
