KUWAIT CITY, July 14: The Court of Appeal has confirmed the Criminal Court’s decision to sentence an Egyptian doctor to five years in prison. The doctor was found guilty of impersonating a Kuwaiti citizen, entering Kuwait using a stolen passport from Egypt and altering his facial features to resemble a Kuwaiti citizen.
Earlier, the prosecution had ordered the doctor to be detained for 21 days and transferred to the Central Jail. The case was then transferred to the Criminal Court for further proceedings.
