The Yaroslavl regional government attaches great importance to the development of agriculture. This is tantamount to national security.
One of the important tasks is to provide markets for agricultural producers.
The Governor of the Yaroslavl Region, Mikhail Evraev, said that the first batch of regional goods was delivered to the retail chain on August 27. He personally visited the agricultural aggregator on the territory of Krasny Mayak LLC.
Evlayev noted that it is crucial for the region’s agricultural producers to have stable sales channels and good sales conditions, but in reality this is a difficult task. The solution is agricultural aggregators, which unite the efforts of farmers for collective delivery, which significantly saves their time and resources. The entire process of sorting, calibration and packaging of products is carried out in aggregators, and then the vegetables are sent to stores. As a result, high-quality products from the Yaroslavl region appear on the shelves, the head of the Yaroslavl region stressed.
“We will take all necessary measures to make all farmers aware of the capabilities of agricultural aggregators,” promised Mikhail Evraev.
According to the local government, the products supplied by agricultural producers to aggregators will be sold in stores of large retail chains.
As Vasily Pushkin, one of the leaders of the country’s leading retail companies, noted, currently the stores mainly sell greens and root vegetables: potatoes, carrots, beets, cabbage – the so-called borscht sets. This format is planned to be spread throughout the Yaroslavl region. With the help of aggregators, buyers can buy high-quality goods at affordable prices.
This spring, the regional government and the company launched the Agroaggregator project in test mode. Now it will run permanently.
According to the Yaroslavl Regional Administration, the collection center also provides temporary storage of goods, quality control, and provides further transportation to distribution centers and directly to chain stores. The area of the site used for pre-sale preparation is more than 2,000 square meters, and 20 employees work here. The agricultural aggregate machine is equipped with four cold storage rooms, each of which can accommodate about 500 tons of products. The production capacity per shift is up to 50 tons of products, and the annual supply volume is at least 1,500 tons.
The company has already partnered with five farmers in the Yaroslavl region and is providing legal and accounting support for the supply, according to local government reports. The plan includes expanding the range of partners
