“It is unacceptable, Mr. Simon, that you have kept Milatović Perović as director of OB Nikšić despite the fact that patients are extremely unhappy and patients should be your first priority,” they said in the announcement.

They further stated that the way the current director was running the institution was causing patients to complain day after day that plasters, bandages and threads, among other things, were missing and 20 ml syringes were a common term in the institution. Patients said the fact that the air conditioners were installed on the floor and not on the wall was telling of the situation in some departments where unbearable heat had set in during the mid-summer.

“I suppose there is no need to remind you of Milatović Perović’s experience with employees who spoke out against her inability to manage the institution and the damage this incompetence caused, nor the last case in which a nurse was assaulted by the head nurse’s husband,” they added.

From the DPS Nikšić Municipal Office, they told Minister Simon that there had been enough silence and guarded Milatović Perović’s chair.

“In the interest of the patients and this once respected health center, make the decision to let her go. Otherwise, you too will be directly responsible for the systemic collapse of Nikšić Hospital,” they concluded in the statement.
