The DPP National Logistics Director candidate, Kenneth Bwanali, has lashed out at the DPP over the party’s resolution to restrict the post to candidates from the Northern region only.

The DPP issued a press release outlining that the party had allocated positions to various regions and announced that these positions “can only be held by candidates who are residents of the respective regions.”

In response, Bwanali said: “I have been campaigning for the position of National Logistics Director for almost six months and today they woke up and wrote this useless, undemocratic memorandum saying that the position should go to someone in the Northern Region.”

He added on his Facebook page: “You robbed us of K2 million today and you told us this. (We paid K2 million nomination fee and were told this is bullshit.)

The DPP, which is expected to hold its election convention this weekend, said in a statement today that the quota allocation was to ensure national distribution.
