With a capacity of 366 megawatts, the power plant is more than just a simple energy project. It is an outstanding work of engineering, accomplished by private Africans, senior Senegalese officials and in service of the Senegalese people. It is the first of its kind in Africa and a tangible proof of what we can achieve together for the development of our country.

With this plant, Senelec will be able to better meet the growing demand for electricity, thereby strengthening our national energy infrastructure and opening up new development prospects for Senegal.
