Denmark took the lead against Slovenia and barely held on for a point

Denmark led for much of the match thanks to a goal from Christian Eriksen, but Mateja Zake’s side eventually earned a point thanks to a goal from Eric Janza.

At the beginning of the game, the strength of both teams was tested, and no dangerous chances appeared. Denmark did try to get a chance to score with a long pass, but they failed to do so.

In the second half, Slovenia tried to equalize the score with a long pass, but was well blocked by the Danish defense. Until the 40th minute, there were no major chances except for Sheshek’s shot and Eriksen’s goal.

Denmark could have extended their advantage in the 43rd minute when Eriksen had another chance, he had a great chance 11 metres from the crossbar but the ball went over the bar.

At the beginning of the second half, Slovenia controversially requested a penalty, but after watching the VAR, it was decided that Keka would not be awarded a penalty. One of the best chances came in the 65th minute when Oblak reacted brilliantly after Hojlund’s shot.

In the 67th minute, Chelin had a great chance, but the ball went slightly wide. A minute later, the opponent got a new chance, and the player who scored the first goal shot high over Oblak’s goal.

Slovenia’s pressure paid off in the 77th minute. The Gunners’ Eric Janza scored from distance, but the ball changed direction after being blocked by Jumand, deceived Schmeichel and finally went into the net.
