During the state visit of His Excellency Draupadi Murmu, President of India, police will be enforcing traffic and escort duties, so people in central and western regions are advised to expect traffic disruptions and delays.
Visiting hours are from Monday, August 5 to Wednesday, August 7, 2024.
Assistant Commissioner of Police – Operations (ACP) Livai Driu reiterated that there will be no complete road closure on these days.
ACP Driu pleaded with drivers to cooperate with the police and give way or make room for the official convoy when they hear the escorting police vehicles.
He added that the operation will try to ensure minimal disruption to traffic and asked for everyone’s patience and cooperation over the three days.
