The Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management met with 17 other members of the Disaster Housing Task Force to develop a temporary housing plan in the event that the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas is hit by another Hurricane Yutu or Soudelor. Members of the Governor’s Office, the American Red Cross, the Department of Environmental and Coastal Quality, the public school system, disaster volunteer organizations, the Commonwealth Health Care Corporation, the Developmental Disabilities Commission, the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs, the Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services, the Department of Land and Natural Resources, the Department of Public Safety, the Department of Public Works, the Offices of the Mayors of Rota, Saipan and Tinian, the Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities at Northern Marianas College-University, and the Northern Marianas Housing Corporation met with HSEM to provide expertise during the one-day workshop.
