The High Commission announced in its weekly update that New Caledonia’s curfew will be extended until September 2. Arrangements for alcohol sales will remain in place until September 8.
The High Commission announced on Monday, 26 August, that the ban on the sale and transport of weapons throughout Caledonia, as well as the 10pm to 5am curfew, would be extended until the morning of 2 September.
For the sale of alcoholic beverages, it remains in effect until Sunday, September 8, and certain conditions are always met: Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. Customers must always limit themselves to 2 litres of alcohol if the alcohol content does not exceed 22 degrees, and 1 litre over that. Finally, delivery sales remain prohibited. Proof of identity documents must always be presented.

The High Commission announced in its weekly update that 2,625 arrests have been made since the unrest began, of which 1,415 were made in the police district (Noumea) and 1,210 in the gendarmerie district (urban, Bruce and islands). Eleven deaths were recorded, including two police officers.
21 consultations were carried out this Saturday and Sunday following the creation of a temporary medical consultation centre in the south of Mont-Dore Sud. Two patients were evacuated to the Médipôle in Dumbéa for additional examinations.
