Cristiano Ronaldo, 39, scored twice in Portugal’s friendly against Ireland on Tuesday, scoring his 894th and 895th goals respectively, bringing his goal tally close to 900.

The record against the Irish national team was 3-0, with Joao Felix opening the scoring in the 18th minute before Ronaldo extended the lead to 2-0 with a powerful left-foot shot in the 50th minute.
Ten minutes later, CR7 scored another goal, and with a score of 3-0, the Portuguese national team will embark on the journey of the 2024 European Cup with full fighting spirit, and will be in Group F with Turkey, Georgia and the Czech Republic.
Portugal has its hands up at the European Championship as one of the favourites going into the match.
