Astro released its profile on Wednesday and set a record for the fastest network to reach 1 million subscribers
Cristiano Ronaldo launched his personal YouTube channel this Wednesday. The striker’s goal is to share a little bit of his life with fans, showing another side of the player that everyone knows. The project, named “UR Cristiano”, a pun in Portuguese for “You are Cristiano”, broke the YouTube record as the fastest to reach 1 million subscribers.
The channel is already live with nine videos and over 1.8 million followers. It reached the one million mark shortly after launching, beating the previous record holder by a full five and a half hours.
“SIUUU” also appeared in the first promotional video of the channel. When Internet users were asked to subscribe and follow the profile’s news, CR7 invited them to “SIUUUnscribe”.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s personal life is also part of the channel. Three of the nine videos that have been shared were shot by Georgina Rodríguez, a model and businesswoman who has twins with the star. The two reveal the secrets of their marriage and promise to show the public the most authentic side of the couple.
