Haiti is facing a catastrophic situation, with an increase in crimes such as kidnappings fuelled by armed gangs and a serious socio-economic crisis.
Sorel Jacinthe, former senator, member of the political platform Unite The signatory of the December 21, 2022 agreement (in support of Ariel Henry) said he is waiting for the Presidential Transition Council (Cpt) and the new prime minister to form the next government.
Jacinte said the choice of Gary Cornell to lead the transitional government was a good step and an important step forward in unblocking the political situation.
“We are also waiting for the implementation of the April 3, 2024 agreement to see what results this transition team will bring in the face of major issues that have rocked the country, such as crime and political instability.”
