Five new schools in the Magenta and Rivière-Salée regions will start welcoming pupils on Tuesday, July 9. Two more schools in Rivière-Salée will open on Thursday, July 11. In Arte, schools will only be open on Thursdays, not Tuesdays.

This Tuesday, July 9, the new academic year begins at five new public schools in Noumea, located in Magenta and Rivière-Salé. These are the schools:

  • Mathilde-Broquet, magenta, Portes-de-fer
  • Albert Perrault, Magenta
  • Jacques-Trouillot, Rivière-Saly
  • Hibiscus, in Rivière-Salée
  • Les Oeillet, in Rivière-Salée

From Thursday 11 July, two new schools will also open in Rivière-Salée:

Canteen services will be available as normal, but morning and evening nurseries cannot be organised.

For schools that are unable to accommodate students, teaching staff will ensure the continuity of education. Guy Champmoreau wearing Tuband as well asSchools in Rivière-Salée, the Ducos Peninsula and Montravel remain closed.Christine-Boletti School welcomes students from Les Pervenches.

Yate School announced that classes would resume on Tuesday. However, according to City Hall, the school year will start on Thursday.
