Menea MP Solen Loifa has reminded the people of Menea District to use public resources wisely and for their intended purpose when it comes to delivering services in the area.

Mr Loifa stated this after presiding over a public transport vehicle showcase at Menyamya station recently.

The Menyamya DDA-funded instrument will support law and justice, education, infrastructure, district administration, and technical and vocational education and training schools.

Mr Loifa said: “I urge the custodians of all these vehicles to ensure they respect these assets, maintain them to the highest standards and look after them for years to come.

“In the past, time and resources have been wasted on regional planning and services simply due to neglect and mismanagement.

“If we can do the little things right, like using these vehicles wisely and for their intended purpose, we can save costs and spend money in other important areas. These vehicles should last a long time and we shouldn’t have to buy new ones every year because of misuse and abuse. Our DDA will continue to support important services in our communities and deliver the same message of responsible and accountable public service,” he said.

Mr Loifa hosted the event along with opposition MPs for Lagaip constituency, Aimos Akem, and Middle Fly constituency, Maso Hewabi.
