There is currently a lot of confusion surrounding Bennie Mirandaβs status as spokesperson for the Progressive Reform Party (VHP).
Recently, news emerged on social media that Miranda is no longer the spokesperson for VHP. However, Miranda herself has always denied these reports.
The situation escalated further when the Facebook page “VHP Media Committee” posted the following message today:
“πππππππ₯π’π§π : πππ§π§π’πππ’π«ππ§πππ§π’πππ₯π π§ π ππ«π―ππ«ππ¨π§πππ§πππ§πππππ
Dear VHP Members,
We would like to inform you that Mr. Bennie Miranda will no longer be part of the VHP structure as of July 15, 2024. Bennie Miranda is also no longer a spokesperson for the VHP. All statements and positions made by Bennie Miranda from now on are made in his personal capacity and are his sole responsibility.
We distance ourselves from all future statements made by Mr Miranda on behalf of the VHP. If he still speaks on behalf of the party, we stress that these statements do not reflect the position of the VHP.
We hope you have been fully informed.
Sincerely,
VHP Media Committeeβ
The VHP leadership had previously said that the Facebook page was fake and that the party had only one official Facebook page: “Progressive Reform Party-VHP”.
Still, there is a lot of confusion as the party leadership has not refuted the rumors about Miranda nor issued any official information to the media.
Some prominent members within the VHP said they were unaware Miranda was no longer a spokesperson.
Miranda joined the VHP less than two months ago after exchanging that organization for the BEP. He was previously affiliated with the New Democratic Party and later with the ABOP.
