Libreville, Friday, June 28, 2024 (Gabon News) – On Tuesday, the Secretary General of the Commonwealth, Her Excellency Patricia Scotland, went to the Presidential Palace to meet with the President of the Transition.
During a frank and constructive exchange, the Head of State explained to Her Excellency Patricia Scotland the ambitions of CTRI for the development and transformation of Gabon, as well as the difficulties encountered in completing certain projects.
For his part, the Commonwealth Secretary-General assured General Brice Clotaire Origi Nguema that his organization would provide technical support to Gabon during the transition process to complete major projects aimed at significantly improving conditions in the lives of the people.
In September 2023, Her Excellency Patricia Scotland visited Libreville, during which she spoke with all the country’s leaders to understand their feelings about the regime change that took place on August 30, 2023.
As part of her second visit to Gabon, she also spoke to transitional Prime Minister Raymond Simma shortly after meeting with Interior and Security Minister Herman Imongo.
Exchanges with the Gabonese authorities focused mainly on bilateral cooperation between the English-speaking international organization and its member Gabon.
