Comedian Reign, best known for his work with comedy duo Maulana & Reign, was picked up by Ugandan police from his home in Mutondwe, Rubaga South District, Kampala this morning. The reason for his arrest is not yet known.
Sources close to Rehn said his recent involvement in politics may have led to his arrest. They believe he may have been linked to the upcoming “March to Parliament” anti-corruption movement, which could have caused concern for police.
Earlier this year, Reign’s comedy partner Maulana also made news when he was jailed for child neglect.
