With 18 years in law enforcement, Toney has served on the front lines of public safety in key roles including SWAT, narcotics investigations, and street intelligence. Since being appointed Broward County Sheriff in 2019, Toney has led the charge to reduce crime rates, improve response times, and make Broward County a safer place to live. His academic accomplishments, including a doctorate in criminal justice with a concentration in organizational leadership, reflect his deep understanding of the complexities of modern law enforcement.
