London: Two climate activists were arrested at a London airport after they spray-painted a private plane orange, claiming Taylor Swift’s plane had landed there just hours earlier.
Cole Macdonald, 22, and Jennifer Kowalski, 28, are said to have entered the airport at London Stansted Airport at around 5am local time on Thursday.

Essex Police said two women were arrested in a private area of the airport on suspicion of criminal damage and interfering with the use or operation of national infrastructure.
Environmental group Just Stop Oil released a video of someone cutting through a security fence, and later released a video of a woman using a fire extinguisher to spray orange paint on at least two private jets.
Just Stop Oil said Swift’s plane was at the airport, but Essex Police said the pop star’s plane was not. Swift is set to perform three shows at London’s Wembley Stadium from Friday to Sunday.

It is understood two climate activists tried to target Swift’s plane, claiming they knew the plane’s tail number but could not find it. Instead, they randomly sprayed both planes with fire extinguishers filled with orange paint.
Mr MacDonald, from Brighton, East Sussex, said: “We live in two worlds – one where billionaires live lavishly and fly away on private jets, and another where millions of people live in intolerable conditions.
“Meanwhile, the system that has enabled the accumulation of vast wealth by a few, to the detriment of everyone, is destroying the conditions necessary for humanity to survive a rapidly accelerating, never-ending ‘cruel summer.’ Billionaires are not invulnerable — climate breakdown will affect every one of us.”
