It was a great performance in the men’s 400m hurdles final for Roshawn Clark but it ended in the worst possible way, as the Jamaican lost his footing as he crossed the last hurdle, resulting in a DNF.

Clark was firmly in contention for a medal in the final sprint as he fell behind leaders Rai Benjamin and Karsten Warholm in the bend.

With just 40 meters remaining, Clark cleared the final hurdle and fell to the track at the Stade de France.

Silver medalist Warholm and Qatari athlete Abdulrahman Samba expressed their condolences to Clark after the race.
