The game started evenly matched and although Zacapa tried to take complete control of the game, the visitors looked very organised, especially defensively.
The locals had a chance in the 14th minute through Gerson Tinoco, who fired a shot but it went wide, the first warning of the match.
In the 16th minute, Hinabajul successfully responded to Joshua Ubiko’s long-range shot, but it was well blocked by the Argentine goalkeeper, avoiding the visitors’ first goal. However, the game was interrupted by constant fouls, and the referee had to intervene by showing a yellow card.
Of course, in the 29th minute, Bryan Castañeda took his opponent out of the penalty area and shot at an angle looking for Rubén Darío Silva’s far post, but the goalkeeper was very confident in blocking the ball.
Before the end of the first half, Hina Bahour had a chance in the Zacapa penalty area, but the most obvious one was Elias Enoch Vazquez, who headed the ball alone in the box but ended up sending the ball over the crossbar.
Zacapa then met a free kick from Tomas Pizarro but it was well controlled by goalkeeper Ruben Dario Silva.
In the second half, the goals came quickly. Xinabajul opened the scoring for Uri Amaral, who fired a shot from inside the box with style to make it 0-1.
Although the situation in Zacapa was complicated, it got worse when Gerson Tinoco was sent off from the 60th minute after punching an opponent with his right leg, leaving the team with only 10 players.
After that, Zacapa’s attack slowed down and the visitors took advantage of that and made it 2-0 in the 81st minute with a great collective performance, with Joshua Ubico finishing off a wonderful goal.
With the score in his favour and one man still on the field, Hinabajur took control of the match and in the 95th minute he had a shot that could have gone in for Uri Amaral but the ball went over the crossbar.
At the end of the match, Hinabajul took a valuable victory from David Ordonez Bardales, while Zacapa did not make the expected debut and walked to the locker room amid boos from the local fans.
