SHANGHAI: Chinese food delivery giant Meituan on Wednesday reported a 21% rise in second-quarter revenue, beating expectations, despite a slowing Chinese economy.
Meituan Dianping, whose apps offer a variety of services including bike-sharing, ticket booking and mapping, reported revenue of 82.3 billion yuan ($11.55 billion) in the three months ended June 30, up from 67.9 billion yuan in the same period last year.
That compares with an average analyst estimate of 81 billion yuan compiled by the London Stock Exchange.
