Kuwait City, August 15 (Xinhua) — To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the Chinese Embassy in Kuwait is pleased to launch the “Beautiful China” photography competition, which aims to promote people-to-people exchanges between the peoples of China and Kuwait and enable the Kuwaiti people to better understand China and China’s pursuit of modernization. The Chinese Embassy is now publicly soliciting photographic works related to China from Kuwaiti citizens and foreign friends living or working in Kuwait.
The theme of this competition is “Beautiful China”. The content of the submissions strives to portray China’s natural scenery, historical culture, folk customs, social development, etc. from multiple angles and perspectives, presenting China’s appearance in a real, three-dimensional and comprehensive way, and reflecting the theory and practice of China’s modernization.
All Kuwaiti citizens and foreigners living or working in Kuwait, regardless of age or occupation, are eligible to participate. Each entry must be closely related to the designated theme and must be an original work created independently by the photographer and has not been published before. The entries must not contain any advertisements.
There is no limit to the form of the works, including color, black and white, single or series. Each contestant can submit up to five works, each of which needs a brief description, JPG format, resolution of not less than 1280×720 pixels, and image size of not less than 2M. The works must be submitted together with the registration form to chinakuwait50@gmail.com, and “beautifulChina+name” must be indicated in the subject of the email. During the selection process, priority will be given to works shot in China. The deadline for submission of works is August 31, 2024.
