Carlos Alcaraz, 21, of Spain, and Novak Djokovic, 37, of Serbia, will meet in the Wimbledon final on Sunday, a repeat of the Murcian’s title win last year, a generational clash of tennis players that spans the respective semifinals.

Alcaraz defeated the 28-year-old Russian Daniil Medvedev in four sets 6-7 (1/7), 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 and will seek his second title in the London tournament and his fourth major title after winning the 2022 US Open, 2023 Wimbledon and this year’s Roland Garros.

Djokovic, on the other hand, easily defeated the 22-year-old Italian young player Lorenzo Musetti in three sets, 6-4, 7-6 (7/2) and 6-4, and will raise his record of points to 25 Grand Slam titles on Sunday.

If victorious, the Serb, who underwent knee surgery more than a month ago to qualify for the Wimbledon final, will take his total number of tournament wins to 99, which would be one shy of his tally.
