Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, George Chaponda, has told President Lazarus Chakwera to immediately release the findings of the investigation into the plane crash that killed Saulos Chilima and eight others on June 10 this year.
Chaponda said Chakwera told DW that German experts had submitted a study to the Malawi government. But Tourism Minister Jacob Hala said the experts had no such report.
Lower House Speaker Richard Chimwendo Banda said the experts have yet to submit any report. According to Mr. Chimwendo Banda, the experts only informed the government and Mr. Chilima’s family, and the government has not received a detailed report.
Here, Mr Chaponda asked Mr Chimwendo Banda whether he disagreed with Mr Chakwera’s statement.
Chakwera said the report would be released after it reaches the “relevant offices”.
