“Why should big countries cooperate with Kyrgyzstan? We have certain trade preferences with third countries such as the EU and the US. In addition, we border China,” Ibrayev explained.
He noted that Kyrgyzstan’s strategic position and production potential can play a role in international cooperation.
“Due to our strategic position, we can do something. This does not mean that all components of the product will be produced exclusively in three countries. Three or more countries can participate in the cooperation, for example, 10-20% of the components can be Chinese,” Ibrayev explained.
He also said that no country, not even the largest economy, can produce everything it needs on its own.
“No country in the world, including China, the United States, Japan, can produce everything. Therefore, cooperation with other countries is inevitable. Kyrgyzstan can provide manpower, strategic location and experience,” he added.
Ibrayev stressed that Kyrgyzstan already has factories that export products to Europe, Belarus and other countries. These are radiator enterprises and other enterprises with existing capabilities and skills.
“If it is expanded, it will be a major step forward for the development of Kyrgyzstan’s economy. There are many areas such as mechanical engineering and automobile manufacturing. We can use our natural resources, such as metals and rare earth elements, which when processed can become components of products. In addition to cooperation, the countries’ desire for deeper integration and reconciliation is actively developing, as confirmed by the recent meeting of the Supreme Council,” Ibrayev added.
