The magistrates concluded their plenary session for the year on 19 July. For five days, the judges examined the problem of prison overcrowding, the role of the judicial police and the functioning of the courts. Several recommendations were made to the Government. In particular: prohibiting magistrates and senior authorities from interfering in judicial matters; increasing the number of officers and providing them with rolling stock.
