The Ndélé 2 case was due to resume on Tuesday, July 31, before the Special Criminal Court (CPS), but has now been postponed until August 5. The reason for this dismissal is the absence of local witnesses during the hearing. They were unable to take the flight to Bangui. The court’s request to mobile phone operators Télécel and Orange Centrafrique to provide it with the defendants’ phones, for other reasons, remains unanswered. The so-called Ndélé 2 case involves the defendants Azor Kalite, Chafardine Moussa, Antar Hamat, Oscar Wordjono-Drogba and others. All of them are being prosecuted for war crimes and crimes against humanity allegedly committed between March and April 2020 in Ndélé and its surroundings.
