Cruise ship owners Hasan Kutlucan and Kerim Smart were on a boat trip off the coast of Alanya Castle when they spotted a small caretta caretta caught on a fishing line thrown into the sea.
Kutlukan brought the carabao to the boat, untied it from the fishing line and released it back into the sea, moments captured on a mobile phone camera.
The video shows Kutlukan rescuing the cub from the water before retrieving it from the fishing line and releasing it into the sea.
