Nearly a third of the country is under yellow and orange heat conditions, according to forecasters, who warned that a heat wave is spreading. Meteorologists updated their forecast for the next four weeks.

In the orange code-zoned counties of Teleorman, Giurgiu, Ilfov and Bucharest, the heat wave will continue for the 11th consecutive day, with maximum temperatures of 36-37 degrees and minimum temperatures of 20-21 degrees.

The southern and eastern regions, including Oltenia, Muntenia and Dobrudja mainland, are in code yellow with maximum temperatures of 34-36 degrees, tropical at night and minimum temperatures of 17-21 degrees.

The National Weather Service says the heat wave will spread nearly across the country in the coming days.

Weather forecast for the next period of time

Forecasters expect above-normal temperatures across the country between August 26 and September 23, with the peak week being September 16-23, when temperatures will be “slightly above normal”.

From August 26 to September 9, most parts of the country had less rainfall. From September 9 to 23, the precipitation was generally close to the annual average, and the southwest region may have slightly less precipitation. News.ro.
