The Cambodia-China Year of People-to-People Exchange will be officially launched in January 2024, marking an important milestone in the people-to-people diplomacy between the two countries. The Year of Exchange was launched with a grand ceremony at the Terrace of the Elephants in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Angkor Archaeological Park, reflecting the historical significance and cultural heritage of the partnership between the two countries.
In 2023, Cambodia and China will elevate bilateral relations to a new level under the framework of the “Diamond Hexagon Cooperation” focusing on six priority areas such as people-to-people exchanges.
In his congratulatory message to celebrate the 2024 Cambodia-China Year of People-to-People Exchange, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said, “I am optimistic that the 2024 Cambodia-China Year of People-to-People Exchange will provide new and good opportunities to attract more Chinese tourists and investors to Cambodia, and the bonds of solidarity, friendship and diamond cooperation between the two countries and their peoples will become stronger.”
