Cambodia attracted $396 million worth of fixed asset investment in July this year, according to the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC). China was the largest investor that month.
“About 68% of investment capital in July 2024 came from China, 14% from domestic sources, and the remainder from the Cayman Islands, Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines,” the CDC said.
According to domestic media reports citing the CDC, the government approved 44 investment projects that month, which have the potential to create nearly 25,000 jobs.
