The political system must change
The country is in serious trouble. I think we have the worst Prime Minister since Federation and I fear we will be stuck with him until October 2025. I shudder to think how much damage he and his loyal followers will cause before he is out of office.
My other concern is that our political system allows this to continue. I think it’s time to take a serious look at our system. First, we have too many fringe parties that split the vote and make it very difficult to form a majority government.
Second, why do we allow a “federal” party to field candidates in only one province? This is ridiculous and needs to change. At the very least, require candidates to run in at least six provinces or territories and win a minimum number of seats in those provinces or territories to qualify as a “federal” party.
If something is not done to change this situation, we will continue to see our country decline and our civil rights disappear.
Justin Trudeau is on his way to dictatorship. There are certainly things he can do before he gets there.

Liberalism’s wastefulness grows
Re: Federal government wastes millions buying ventilators: Congressman, July 10
A Conservative MP did some research and discovered that Trudeau’s Liberals bought $700 million worth of ventilators during the pandemic for $22,000 each, and now they’re being sold at scrap metal auctions for as little as $6, and they’re still in boxes?
Like the hilarious scrap merchant Fred Sanford in the 1970s TV sitcom, in the immortal words of the late, great Redd Foxx, Canadian taxpayers are in for another big one, Elizabeth! More unbelievable waste!

(If true, it does paint a pretty good picture of what the Liberals have accomplished lately.)
Growing discontent
A new poll shows that 70% of Canadians feel we are plagued by a growing discontent and lack of pride. No wonder we are being harshly criticized by world leaders for failing to live up to our commitments on issues like NATO, commitments our government knows we are unlikely to keep. We were once the envy of the world for our strong economy, but now poor economic policies have plunged many Canadians into a pit of despair, and we are facing the worst decline in living standards in 40 years, with no end in sight.

(Canada has certainly lost a lot of respect internationally.)
