This is a press release from the prosecutor of the judicial branch specializing in the repression of terrorist acts. The document, dated August 7, 2024, concerns the second trial in the terrorism case between July 22 and August 7, 2024, at the Vaga II High Court.
31 people were tried, 7 were sentenced to suspended criminal sentences (life imprisonment); 14 were sentenced to 21 years in prison, and 2 were sentenced to 5 years in prison.

During this period, six people were released.
Public proceedings were declared closed for one detainee who died before sentencing.
An order was made to pay 140,000,000 FCFA to both victims.
Faso prosecutor Lafama Prosper Thiombiano pointed out that on October 9, 2015, the Territorial Brigade of the Samoro Gendarmerie suffered a terrorist attack that resulted in the death of three gendarmes, and judicial files have been made public.
