The Branisco Tunnel is now open to traffic in both directions following a head-on collision between two passenger buses on Saturday. The police reported the incident on social networks.

The two passenger buses collided in the Branisco Tunnel around 5:30 pm on Saturday.
The accident occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. As the aftermath of the accident has been resolved, the tunnel has been closed and traffic has been diverted to I/18.
Petra Klimešová, a spokeswoman for the Slovak Emergency Medical Services Operations Center, told TASR that six people were injured in the accident, four of whom were minors. According to the first reports, the injuries were minor.
Jana Ligdayová, a spokeswoman for the Prešov regional police, said both drivers’ breath tests for alcohol came back negative.
