A boy was taken to hospital with minor injuries following a fire in Etobicoke Centre on Monday evening.
The fire broke out shortly before 9 p.m. in an 11th-floor apartment at 5005 Dundas St. W., west of Mabelle and Islington Avenues.
The fire has now been put out and crews are clearing the smoke from the building.
Toronto Fire Department told CP24 that other personnel in the unit escaped on their own.
Police ask drivers to consider alternative routes.
