The Boro 4×4 Cup will return in 2024 with all the excitement of off-road racing. The series is known for its unique challenges that will test drivers and their 4×4 vehicles.
There will be three races this year, the first of which is scheduled for July 28th this year at the La Torre Circuit in San Mateo Alajuela, here are the details on the date, registration and expectations for this race:
Date and Location
- First Date: July 28 at the La Torre circuit in San Mateo Alajuela.
- Second Date: September 1 in San Carlos.
- The third and final time: November 10th, return to the La Torre track.
“We are ready for the new edition of the Boro 4×4 Cup and we will start with the La Torre track, a terrain that never disappoints in terms of mud and in which the public is always satisfied, making the competition a very attractive leisure day for all off-road enthusiasts,” said Arturo Esquivel of Boro4x4, the event organizer.
Tickets for the first race of the Boro 4×4 Cup cost 6,000 colones plus a 2,000 colone parking fee. Tickets must be purchased on the day of the event upon entering the La Torre circuit. Children under 11 years old are admitted free. Participants may bring coolers, grills and other items needed for a day of family fun.

Competition and Participants
The best 4×4 vehicles in the country are expected to participate. Registration is now open and the final list of competitors for the 4-, 6- and 8-cylinder categories will be announced a few days before the event. Confirmed vehicles include Luis Barrantes’ Punisher and Ronnie Batista’s Tonka.
Defending champion
- 4 cylinders: Sergio Díaz and Chuzuki.
- 6 cylinders: Andre Acuña and the Gladiators.
- 8 cylinders: Diego Corrales and Hellboy.
