A 20-year-old tiler from the Stanton section of Borgwerk, St. Catherine, has been charged after a gun was found in a suitcase in the bathroom of his home.

Nickane Mighty was charged with possession of a prohibited weapon.

A Spanish Town police report states that around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, a police team conducted a targeted raid on his home.

During the search, police found a handgun inside a suitcase in Mighty’s bedroom.

He was subsequently arrested and charged.

His court date is being scheduled.
