Model guidance indicates that the feature will approach the Lesser Antilles on Tuesday. Its intensity is uncertain, but environmental conditions are expected to be slightly favorable for its slow development, with a tropical depression possible over the next few days as the feature moves toward the west-northwest.
There are no watches or warnings in place for this system in Barbados.
Potential impact
The cyclone is expected to pass north of Barbados sometime between Monday and Tuesday.
Winds will decrease significantly on Monday, temperatures may rise, and activity will also occur in some areas. Occasional moderate showers may bring up to two inches of rainfall, and flooding may occur in some areas.
