The 81-year-old admitted that his speech was not as “fluent” as it once was, but said he was still able to deliver a good performance in private meetings about government policy.
In an interview with ABC News on Friday, he said only “God Almighty” could have pulled him out of the race and stressed the importance of defeating Donald Trump in the November election.
