Regarding your request, we inform you of the following information:
1. The last control of the ATI section took place on August 14-15, 2024, and was controlled by the Director of Nursing.
Irregularities found: Omission to complete some nursing forms (shift reports and nursing care sheets), lack of formalization of the duties of the assistant shift supervisor.
The ATI department has been informed of these violations and has received a deadline of August 30, 2024 to resolve them in order to comply with the legal conditions.
2. On April 2, 2024, an inspection of the Nursing Director’s ATI Department was conducted and the following violations were found:
Store sanitary materials in spaces not used for this purpose.
Lack of cleaning schedule. Unsterilized clothes in the salon. Irregular waste management.
The medicine cabinet had no lock.
3. Following control on April 2, 2024, the Director of Nursing submitted an information note to the Manager regarding the above violations. The Manager ordered that the information note be forwarded to the ATI Department for remediation.
4. Regarding the drug cabinet, we mentioned the following:
All medicine cabinets have keys and a complete narcotic drug register when used by staff. The use of these cabinets is almost continuous, as most ATI sedation patients use narcotics. Therefore, there are times when the cabinets remain locked, but they are supervised if the medical assistant does not take all the necessary medications. The anti-narcotics cabinet is located inside the department and its supervision is permanent.
