Bay laurel is known as a cleanser for the lymphatic system. In addition to cleansing the lymphatic system, it also helps treat varicose veins and has strong antiviral properties, so it is recommended in cases of infections such as the flu.

Besides having many medicinal properties, bay leaves have been used since ancient times as a spice, addition to roasted meats, sauces, as they give dishes a unique and irreplaceable taste. However, adding laurel to dishes is not only for its pleasant taste and smell, but also to improve digestion.

Fighting gout

Pour 5 dl of boiling water over five chopped bay leaves. Simmer for five minutes, then remove from the stove and cover until morning. Strain and drink a spoonful of this tea every hour. In the evening, prepare a new amount of bay tea for the next day. Take it for three days in a row. The treatment can only be repeated after six months. It is a very powerful tool for removing harmful crystals from the joints. During these three days, meat and alcoholic beverages are completely excluded from the diet. Patients with gastric and duodenal ulcers should not use this remedy.

Teas to fight flu and bronchitis

Pour three chopped bay leaves into 2.5 dl of water and boil for 10 minutes. Remove from the stove, cover and let sit for ten minutes, then strain and add a spoonful of lemon juice and two teaspoons of honey. Drink 2-3 times a day.

Laurel Oil

Bay laurel has strong antiviral properties and is a proven “cleanser” for the lymphatic system. It should be used to prevent infection, and applying the oil to swollen lymph nodes will quickly provide relief. Treatment only lasts a few days, not longer.
