The Bank of Guyana (BoG) today announced the revocation of the licence of Confidential Cambio, an institution linked to Nazar Mohamed and Azruddin Mohamed.
On Tuesday, the U.S. Treasury Department blacklisted the exchange.
In a notice on its website, the Bank of Ghana said: “In accordance with the Foreign Exchange Dealers (Licensing) Act 1989, the business licence of Confidential Cambio located at 29 Lombard Street, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown has been revoked and the entity is no longer authorised to carry on the business of buying and selling foreign currency.”
The Bank of Ghana did not provide any explanation for the decision.
