New Delhi: There was widespread telecommunication disruption in Bangladesh on Friday (July 19) due to Violent student protests Nearly two dozen people have died this week for violating government work quotas.

Most overseas calls cannot be connected, and Internet calls cannot be completed.
The websites of several Bangladeshi newspapers were not updated on Friday morning and their social media accounts were inactive.
A Reuters photographer based in Dhaka said only some voice calls were working in the country on Friday morning, with no mobile data or broadband, adding that even text messages or phone-to-phone text messages could not be sent.
