Dear sisters, dear brothers, the people of Sanmateng
It is with deep sadness and great pain that I address you in the face of this tragedy that has struck our beautiful community of Barsarogo. We are the victims of this heinous attack that has claimed the lives of hundreds of our fellow citizens. These precious lives were full of hopes, dreams and promises. Their passing is a pain that affects us all, because every member of our community is part of the same family, united by the bonds of love and solidarity.
In these dark times, we must unite, stand together and support each other. The pain we are experiencing must become a collective strength and a call to resilience. My dear compatriots, I invite you to exercise restraint and contemplate the values of peace, tolerance and respect that constitute our identity. Let us not let anger and hatred destroy our social cohesion, because only by working together can we overcome adversity.
I also salute our heroic defence and security forces and the volunteers who defend our country, who, despite the enormous challenges they face, are courageously fighting the scourge of terrorism that threatens our very existence. Your commitment and determination are a source of hope for all of us. You are our protectors, and we ask you to persevere in this noble quest to restore peace and security to our country. Burkina Faso deserves to regain its former tranquility, where everyone can thrive in total serenity, without fear of the unknown.
In this time of mourning, I urge you to remember the values that unite us and to pray for our fallen brothers and sisters. May their memory remain in our hearts and inspire us to take action towards a better future.
Together, we must show courage and resolve. Together, we will build a united, strong and prosperous Burkina Faso, where every human life is respected and protected. Let us not let this tragic event define who we are; instead, let us have the courage to transform our pain into a powerful wave of solidarity.
I offer you my sincerest condolences and assure you of my full support in helping you through these moments of fear and uncertainty. May peace, unity and love be our shield in this fight for life.
