According to a statement from the Uludag Automotive Industry Exporters Association (OıB), automobile exports grew by 15% in July to $3.1 billion. The industry ranked first in national exports with a share of 13.9%.

The export value of supply industries in the automotive industry sub-product group was 1 billion 233 million US dollars, the export value of passenger cars was 1 billion 160 million US dollars, the export value of motor vehicles for transporting goods was 497 million US dollars, the export value of buses, minibuses and minibuses was 141 million US dollars, and the export value of tractors was 61 million US dollars.

Among the supply sectors, the largest exports were to Germany, the largest exports to the United Kingdom for buses and motor vehicles for goods transport, and the largest exports to France for the bus-minibus-van product group.

Most of the exports go to the UK

The UK’s exports in July were $457 million, continuing to maintain its position as the largest exporting country. Germany became the second largest market with $377 million, and France ranked third with $288 million.

Exports to EU countries reached 2 billion USD and 34 million USD, an increase of 8.6% compared to July last year. EU countries ranked first among the country groups with a share of 65%.

Other European countries ranked second in the country group with a share of 16%, but exports to this country group increased by 69%. Exports to African countries fell by 13%, and exports to Middle Eastern countries fell by 27%.

“Last month we recorded growth in motor vehicles supplied to the industry, buses and freight groups. Our exports to the UK increased significantly by 78.6% and exports to Italy increased by 23%.
